I have been told, on good authority, to expect swings, from good to bad, while Florine's body is working to heal itself. Time will tell, and my baby's journey will be long and challenging.

Her condition has not changed, and today was a struggle for her, but tomorrow could bring orchids to a barren garden.

John - Russ and I just heard about Florine. We won't be back to San Diego until the end of September but we will say a prayer for her every day. I believe prayers can and will be answered. We will keep checking the blog to keep updated. Russ and Jan Bowen

Wow - life has dealt you both a blow but you've been through them before and will make it through this one. You both will have a struggle ahead that you will meet with your usual grace and charm. My family has also added to the prayers and look forward to the news that Florine is awake and ready to start the next step in healing. But for now she is resting for the challenge ahead.

Love to you both ... Mary

John- I have every one I know and even people I don't know who are in friends pray groups, praying for Aunt Babe. She is a fighter! Let us know if there is anything that we can do.

John, we were shocked to hear the news this morning. Having been through a similar experience, I know this will be a real challenge, but as others have said, you and Florine have weathered storms before. I am confident that your love for each other will give you the strength to come through this one. Please let us know if there is anything you need. Love, Glee Hotchkin
